Be Vigilant About Internet Postings

Although the internet seems like a tool and resource that allows you to pay for bills, buy items, and contact family and friends all over the world, it is a dangerous weapon that can easily be used against you. When you post something online, it is permanent; deleting the content will not remove it from the web. The moral of the story is be vigilant. Do not post anything on the internet unless you are ready to face the consequences whether good or bad.

Album Covers that Caught My Eye

Yes, these are some of my favorites artists, but they also have some amazing album covers. The simplicity yet profoundness of each photograph grabs your attention and makes you want to listen their music despite the genre of music and the voice of the singer. The pictures highlights the state of mind behind each song in the studio while writing and/or recording the songs.

My 120 Pound Journey

Ben is a living example that anything is possible when you set your mind to it, a cliche that is in fact true. The way he saw himself, the way others saw him pushed him to succeed, to overcome his ultimate battle of being obese. Yes, he accomplished a marathon and an iron man race, but more importantly, he overcame himself to do so. He fought his negative thoughts screaming that he would never make it, that he was too tired, that he wasn't good enough. He became the man that he wanted to be through inspiration and perseverance, and ultimately, that's all that counts. It's not the drastic weight loss, but the person he became in the process: a dreamer that made his dreams a reality.

2013-2014 Yearbook Ideas

While I was searching for some ideas for the yearbook, I found a link to Walsworth Yearbook that listed previous ideas. My favorite theme would definitely have to be "Our Lives Set to Music." Though the lives of  students do not include musical numbers like High School Musical, a love for music is universal. It isn't necessarily the genre that is shared but rather one song that is able to define a generation, a movie, an occasion despite differing personalities and backgrounds.
